BBT researchers and professors Carles Mas-Moruno and Daniel Rodríguez were the visible face of our research group at the 6th Edition of the RE-Search 4 Talent, organized by the Institute of Bioengineering of Catalonia (IBEC), on the 20th May 2020.

The BBT has resumed its monthly scientific meetings this week, virtually, with the aim of continuing its research activity.

Dr. Hakimi and Ginebra (BBT-UPC) and Dr. Krallinger (BSC-CNS) have published a paper in Nature Reviews Materials, encouraging the creation of tools for the development of biomaterials, based on Artificial Intelligence.

Researchers Maria-Pau Ginebra and Cristina Canal, together with their BBT research and work team, obtain funding from AEI (Agencia Estatal de Investigación) to research and develop a new generation of antimicrobial bone grafts with high performance and which, at the same time, favor the formation of bone.

Dr. Buxadera-Palomero presented her latest work at the symposium “Cell-instructive materials and surfaces”, organized by Prof. M.P. Ginebra and Dr. C. Mas-Moruno (BBT) and Prof. B. Su (UoB), within the 2020 Materials Science and Engineering Conference.

Dr. Maria-Pau Ginebra, Director of the BBT Research Group, has been re-elected Director of the Department of Materials Science and Engineering.

On October 20th, Dra. Maria-Pau Ginebra gave a lecture on "3D Bio Impression: Are We Close to Personalized Medicine?" at CosmoCaixa Barcelona, during the cycle "The revolution of 3D printing".

PhD student Lluis Oliver gave a Flash Presentation with his most recent research during the 13th IBEC Symposium.

Prof. Maria-Pau Ginebra gave a talk on “BioInstructive Materials for Regenerative Medicine” at an online seminar organized by the Oxford University Bioengineering Society (OUBES).

Agencia Estatal de Investigación (AEI) has decided to fund the project "ENABLE: New enabling technologies for the development of high performance osteoinductive and antimicrobial bone grafts" lead by Drs. Maria-Pau Ginebra and Cristina Canal, in the latest call for PID projects 2019.
