Electrochemical characterization
BBT offers the following electrochemical characterization techniques:
- Evaluation of corrosion resistance by linear and cyclic voltammetry, with determination of polarization resistance and/or potential, current and corrosion rate.
- Determination of the electrical conductivity of liquid solutions.
- Evaluation of the load transfer to layers and surface coatings by means of impedance spectroscopy, with modeling of the equivalent electrical circuit and determination of the resistance and conductivity of the layer, load transfer resistance and/or resistance to polarization.
- Measurement of the ion release from the material subjected to electrochemical stresses by optical and mass spectrometry (ICP-OES and IPC-MS), with sensitivity up to ppb.
