AEI funding to develop a new generation of bone grafts with high performance

Researchers Maria-Pau Ginebra and Cristina Canal, together with their BBT research and work team, obtain funding from AEI (Agencia Estatal de Investigación) to research and develop a new generation of antimicrobial bone grafts with high performance and which, at the same time, favor the formation of bone.
Agencia Estatal de Investigación (AEI) has decided to finance the project "New technologies for the development of osteoinductive and antimicrobial bone grafts with high performance", whose main researchers are Prof. Maria-Pau Ginebra and Dr. Cristina Canal, from the BBT .
The research team includes Dr. Jordi Franch (UAB), Dr. María Cristina Manzanares (UB), Drs. Sara Lluch, Montserrat Español and José Manuel García and Meritxell Molmeneu (all from UPC). The work team includes Drs. Alejandra M. Rodríguez, Judit Buxadera, Jordi Guillem and Juan Tornín and PhD students Joanna M. Konka, Laura del Mazo, Miguel Mateu and Mar Bonany.
The project also has funding for the hiring of a doctoral student.
