Abstract

The objective is to evaluate the current evidence on cold atmospheric plasmas (CAP) applications on dental tissues to enhanceresin bonding. A systematic review was conducted in November 2024 on PubMed, Science Direct and Google Scholar. Thirty‐three studies were included. CAP application reduced the contact angle on dentin and enamel. Most studies reported increasedbond strength dentin, but more variable results on enamel. Results are presented in tables for CAP application on the twotissues. To conclude, the use of a dielectric barrier discharge plasma‐jet device during 30 s at a distance of 2–10 mm from thetissues may lead to better adhesive performance. The description of CAP application requires standardization across studies,with the PLASDENT grid proposed here.
