Dr. Marta Pegueroles, Dr. Carles Mas-Moruno, Dr. Jordi Guillem-Martí and PhD student Lluis Oliver have attended the TERMIS EU 2019 (Tissue Engineering Therapies: From Concept to Clinical Translation & Commercialisation) Meeting, held in Rhodes (Greece) from the 27th to the 31st of May, 2019.

The BBT research group has bought a rheometer, part of the new "System for characterizing the mechanical response of advanced materials at different dimensional scales" of the CEM, co-funded by the National Research Agency (Gobierno de España) with Funds of the ERDF (UE).

During the summer season, several BBT members have presented their work at the XVI ECERS 2019 Conference, the ISPC 24 Symposium, the VII Congreso Español de Pulvimetalurgia y II Congreso Iberoamericano de Pulvimetalurgia, el 11th Symposium on Biodegradable Metals, the 11th Symposium on Biodegradable Metals, the TERMIS-EU Workshop: 3D Bioprinting in Cancer Research, EUROMAT 2019, the 30th Annual Conference of the European Society for Biomaterials ESB 2019 and the Euro PM2019 Congress & Exhibition.
The European Society of Biomaterials (ESB) awarded Prof. Maria-Pau Ginebra with the prestigious Klaas de Groot award, which rewards scientists who have developed excellent mentoring and accompaniment for young researchers.

On September 2019, student Iván Sánchez Campillo received the Third Prize for the best TFG in Chemistry, awarded by the Societat Catalana de Química.
Two PhD students of the BBT, Claudia García and Xavier Solé, presented their work at the XLII Congress of the Iberian Society for Biomechanics and Biomaterials (SIBB2019).
