Bio-TUNE Kick off meeting and Symposium

The Bio-TUNE inaugural Symposium and Kick-Off Meeting took place on the 17-18th February, 2020, at the Barcelona East School of Engineering (EEBE), Barcelona (Spain).

The Bio-TUNE inaugural Symposium and Kick-Off Meeting of the UE-funded project took place on the 17-18th February, 2020, at the Barcelona East School of Engineering (EEBE), Barcelona (Spain).

The Inaugural Symposium was held on the morning of the 17th February, with 4 prominent speakers in the field of biomaterials and implants: Prof. Maria-Pau Ginebra, (BBT-UPC),  Prof. Conrado Aparicio (MDRCBB-UMN, USA), Dr. Román A. Pérez (UIC) and Prof. José Carlos Rodríguez Cabello (UVa). The symposium was open not only to members of the Bio-TUNE project, but to all the scientific community at EEBE.

Following the Symposium, the kick-off meeting of the RISE funded project was held, with the attendance of almost all Beneficiaries and Partners of the project. 

Bio-TUNE is a MSCA-RISE Horizon2020 project, funded by the European Union (EU) and lead by Dr. Carles Mas-Moruno (BBT), that aims to develop innovative multifunctional materials to produce a new generation of medical implants with cell instructive and antibacterial potential. The RISE project seeks the collaboration and researchers exchange between beneficiaries: BBT-UPC (Spain) INSERM (France),Max Planck Institute for Medical Research (Germany), Università degli Studi di Camerino (Italy), University of Brisol (UK) and University of Glasgow (UK); and Partner Countries: Universidad Nacional de San Martín (Argentina), Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas (Peru),Universitas Gadjah Mada (Indonesia) and Universiti Sains Malaysia Malaysia).
