The PhD program in Biomedical Engineering at UPC, considered a program of excellence by AQU Catalunya

Nine doctoral programs from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya · BarcelonaTech (UPC), of the 22 evaluated so far by the Agència per a la Qualitat de Sistema Universitari de Catalunya (AQU Catalunya), have achieved the consideration of programs with excellence, the highest rating given by this body.

Among the recognized programs is that of Biomedical Engineering, in which the BBT is highly involved. Not only do Dr. Ginebra, Canal, Español, Manero, Mas and Rodríguez teach here, but also does the group currently has several doctoral students attached to the program.

The other recognized programs have been: Computer Architecture, Computing, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Terrain Engineering, Seismic and Structural Dynamics Engineering and Artificial Intelligence.

AQU Catalunya has also issued a favorable assessment in the follow-up report of the UPC Doctoral School, which has been able to carry out the necessary actions to update itself and ensure quality and continuous improvement, as required the AQU for the accreditation of studies (Standard 3 of the accreditation process: effectiveness of the IQAS).
