Sílvia Gómez, a PhD student at the BBT within the Biomedical Engineering program, ranked second in the IV edition of the UPC's #HiloTesis scientific dissemination competition.
BBT doctoral student Sílvia Gómez was the second-place finisher in at #HiloTesis scientific dissemination competition, promoted by the UPC Doctoral School. The results were announced a few days ago, during the welcoming ceremony for new PhD students and the awarding of prizes, including the three best Twitter threads under the hashtag #HiloTesis.
Sílvia, who is completing her doctoral thesis under the supervision of Prof. José María Manero, and in collaboration with the Barraquer Ophthalmological Center, explained her research into coatings for keratoprosthesis in corneal blindness at her #hilotesis.
The initiative, convened by Crue Universidades Españolas, in collaboration with Red de Divulgación y Cultura Científica(RedDivulga) of the Crue–I+D+i Sectorial, is aimed at doctoral students and recent PhD graduates who must explain their research, in a maximum of 20 tweets linked in a thread.
