Dr. Santiago Raymond, who has completed an industrial doctorate with the BBT and Mimetis Biomaterials, presents his doctoral thesis at EEBE.

On September 13th, Yago Raymond, a PhD student in the Biomaterials, Biomechanics and Tissue Engineering Group at EEBE, defended his doctoral thesis on "Biomimetic Bone Grafts: from the lab to the clinic", directed by Dr. Maria-Pau Ginebra of the BBT, in collaboration with Ana M. Chinea (CEO of the company Mimetis Biomaterials).

The thesis panel was formed by Dr. Riccardo Levato, President (UMC Utrech), Dr. Cédric Labay (UPC) and Dr. Jordi Caballé (UIC).

Yago Raymond was the first student to present a thesis within the Industrial Doctorate program in our research group. The student enjoyed a MINECO scholarship to be able to carry out his doctoral thesis at Mimetis Biomaterials, under the supervision of Dra. Ginebra at UPC.
