Marta Pegueroles collaborates in the project 100tíficas of the FCRI

Researchers from 15 CERCA Centers, including Dr. Marta Pegueroles of the BBT, collaborate with the #100tífiques initiative of the Catalan Foundation for Research and Innovation (FCRI) and the Barcelona Institute of Science and Technology (BIST), on the occasion of International Women and Girls' Day in Science.

Dr. Marta Pegueroles, involved for many years in the promotion of engineering in primary schools throughout Catalonia, collaborated with the project #100tífiques, with the aim of combating the gender gap in science and technology in Catalan schools.

On the occasion of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, more than 450 scientists from various institutions in the country connected on February 12 with 480 schools to explain to kids that they can become what they want to become, regardless of their gender. Among them, Dr. Pegueroles, who gave a virtual talk on "The science of materials from the point of view of women" to students at the Escola Setelsis  in Lleida.

This initiative was carried out thanks to the Catalan Foundation for Research and Innovation (FCRI) and the Barcelona Institute of Science and Technology (BIST), on the occasion of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science.
