Lluis Oliver receives UPC's Extraordinary Doctoral Award 2024

Lluis Oliver Cervelló has been awarded by the UPC with the 2024 Extraordinary Doctoral Award (for the 2021/2022 promotion) in the field of Industrial Engineering.
On November 19th, the UPC Extraordinary Doctoral Awards 2024 (for the 2021/2022 class) were presented.
Lluis Oliver Cervelló, who was a doctoral student at the BBT under the supervision of Dr. Carles Mas-Moruno, was awarded one of the awards, specifically in the field of Industrial Engineering.
The title of the winning thesis is "Novel multifunctional biomimetic peptides for bone tissue engineering". In words of Dr. Oliver, this is "an award that got me excited, as it is a recognition of all the effort and sacrifice made throughout the thesis".
UPC Doctoral School annually promotes, during the second semester of each academic year, the call for these extraordinary PhD awards, aimed at doctors who have obtained a cum laude mention in the defense of their thesis in the academic year determined by the call. The awards are assessed by a jury appointed by the Permanent Commission of the Doctoral School for each area and call; resolved by the Permanent Commission of the School and ratified by the Governing Council of the UPC.
