During the duration of this summer school, topics such as technology transfer, standardization, escalation of production, regulatory issues, the analysis of qualifications and risks and entrepreneurship in the field of medical devices have been addressed. The € 1,000 scholarship, funded by the European project RISEus2: "Rising competitiveness of early stage researchers and research management in Latvia", has covered the costs associated with the PhD student's travel and accommodation, and has been awarded to only 4 students.
