Judit Buxadera presents her PhD Thesis

Dr. Judit Buxadera, member of the BBT, presented her doctoral thesis within the Materials Science Doctorate, in July.
Judit Buxadera, PhD student at the Biomaterials, Biomechanics and Thissue Engineering Research Group at UPC, presented her Doctoral Thesis on July, 19th, at the new Diagonal-Besòs Campus of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC).
The student presented her thesis in "Development of polymeric coatings with combined antifouling/antibacterial properties for titanium dental implants", supervised by Dr. Daniel Rodríguez and Dr. Xavier Gil of the BBT, with a jury formed by Dr. Marta Pegueroles (UPC), Dr. Román Pérez (UIC) and Dr. Fabio Palumbo (CNR, Italy).
Dr. Buxadera, granted with a FPI-UPC research grant for her Doctorateby the UPC, co-financed by the project "Sellado biomimético de implantes dentales" granted to Dr. Rodríguez by the Fundación Ramón Areces, enjoyed two research stays at the Institut für Plasmaforschung und Technologie e. V. (INP Greifswald, Germany) and at the Department of Chemmistry of the Università degli Studi di Bari Aldo Moro (Italy), thanks to the funding of COST-Actions MP1101 i TD1208, where Dr. Cristina Canal was a member of the Management Commitee.
