José Manuel García receives funding from the AEI to consolidate his research career

Dr. José Manuel García-Torres has received funding in the Consolidación Investigadora 2022 call from Agencia Estatal de Investigación (AEI, Gobierno de España) for the Consolidation of his research career.

With the project "NAMASTE: Nanoengineered magnetoelectric 3D hydrogels with built-in soft electronics for bioengineering applications", Dr. García will develop new magnetoelectric hydrogels capable of generating electrical stimuli at the nanoscale through the application of external magnetic fields in order to stimulate the regeneration of cardiac tissue. Also, the hydrogel itself will allow the monitoring of the regeneration process by recording the electrical activity.
