Joaquim Minguela presents his PhD Thesis

Dr. Joaquim Minguela presented his Doctoral thesis in Materials Science, the first directed in collaboration by the BBT and CIEFMA research groups, both based at the EEBE, with a grant from the Barcelona Research Center in Multiscale Science and Engineering.

Joaquim Minguela, PhD student in the Biomaterials, Biomechanics and Tissue Engineering Group (BBT) and the Center for Structural Integrity, Reliability and Micromechanics of Materials (CIEFMA) at the UPC, defended his doctoral thesis on July, 21st at Campus Diagonal Besòs (UPC). The event was held in person and online, due to the situation of health crisis we live.

The student presented his thesis on "Surface characterization and cell instructive properties of superficially modified dental zirconia"the first directed in collaboration by Dr. Carles Mas-Moruno (BBT) and Dr. Joan Josep Roa (CIEFMA). The court was formed by Dr. Mercè Segarra (UB), Dr. Montserrat Español (UPC) and Dr. Sebastián Suárez (Univ. Saarland).
