Dr. Joanna Sadowska, Julia Polak European Doctorate Award

Dr. Joanna Sadowska, former BBT's PhD student, under the supervision of Dr. Maria-Pau Ginebra and Dr. Jordi Guillem-Martí, has been awarded the Julia Polak European Doctorate Award by the European Society of Biomaterials (ESB).
Dr. Joanna Sadowska has been awarded the Julia Polak European Doctorate Award by the European Society for Biomaterials (ESB). This award is given by the ESB council and is presented during the 31st Annual Conference of the ESB, to be held in Porto (Portugal), during the Young Scientist Forum session.
Dr. Sadowska received an FPI Fellowship to carry on her PhD investigation on the "Effect of microstructural and chemical cues on the in vitro cell response to calcium phosphates", directed by Dr. Maria-Pau Ginebra and Dr. Jordi Guillem-Martí.
Currently, Dr. Sadowska is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (Dublin, Ireland) and has just been awarded a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Individual Fellowship (MSCA) to carry on her project "Gene-activated AntiMicrobial Biomaterials for Bone regeneration (GAMBBa)".
