May 06, 2025

Dr. Cristina Canal and Dr. Francesco Tampieri, together with Dr. Maria-Pau Ginebra, Dr. Marta Pegueroles, Dr. Montse Español and Dr. Carles Mas-Moruno, are part of the Erasmus+ IGNITE project, which aims to promote the development of skills to carry out environmentally sustainable innovation and entrepreneurship in STEAM study programs.

Dr. Cristina Canal and Dr. Francesco Tampieri are coordinators of the UPC group in the project  IGNITE: Inspiring the next Generation of Innovators, coordinated from the Mednarodna podiplomska šola Jožefa Stefana, MPŠ (Slovenia).

The project, with other members of the group also involved, aims to promote the development of competencies for environmentally sustainable innovation and entrepreneurship in STEAM study programs. Through interdisciplinary and innovative approaches to personalized learning and teaching, IGNITE hopes to achieve several specific objectives, such as developing and testing student-adapted learning practices, digital solutions for monitoring competency development and career guidance, or establishing the Ignite Sphere Sustainability Community, fostering collaboration between higher education institutions and industry.

So far, a series of tasks have already been carried out, such as surveying more than 100 students in order to develop videos adapted to their learning needs, preliminary work on the nanomodules, holding a meeting of all partners in Ghent, where the next steps to be followed were established, and publishing the first Newsletter of the project.
