Dr. Marta Pegueroles has been funded in the last call of "Llavor for innovative projects with the potential to be incorporated into the productive sector" by AGAUR, with her project "4D Printing of Biodegradable Shape Memory Polymeric Stents (BIO-4D)".

The BIO-4D project focuses on the development and patentability assessment of a shape memory polymer stent, printed in 4D, and designed to adapt to a child's aorta as they grow. This stent, activated by body temperature, is biodegradable and promotes the restoration of a functional aorta, creating an intelligent device.
