Dr. Giuseppe Scionti and the Bioprint of Human Tissues, at the Night of Knowledge and the Tech Talk lecture at ImaginCafe

Dr. Giuseppe Scionti, star of the Night of Knowledge, with a talk on Bioprinting of Human Tissues, and of the Tech Talk about the Future of Regenerative Medicine, at ImaginCafe.

On March 23, at 8:30 pm, a new edition of the Night of Knowledge was held at Kaburi Arc de Triomf, organized by Mensa Barcelona.

The Night of Knowledge is a series of conferences organized regularly by Mensa in Barcelona. With the collaboration of the Kaburi Games store, Virtuts Fernández, a member of Mensa and the director of the activity, seeks the collaboration of lecturers, mensistas and non-mensistas, who talk about what they like better. The result is a good number of talks of diverse interest and high quality.

On the other hand, on May 8th, Dr. Scionti participated in the ImaginCafé Tech Talk lecture series, an initiative by ImaginBank - La Caixa, with his talk on "Bioimpression 3D and the future of regenerative medicine."

The lack of organs and the need for regenerative medicine techniques have led to the development of a new technology called Bioimpression. Recent advances show that it is already possible to grow human tissues in bioengineering laboratories, using biomaterials and a 3D printer. In this regard, Dr. Scionti explained the research that we carry out in our laboratories around the printing of bioinks for bone regeneration, as well as the future of this research.
