Dr. Cristina Canal, invited speaker at a Seminar on the Application of Atmospheric Plasmas in Cancer Treatment at CIBIR

The Biomedical Research Center of La Rioja (CIBIR) organized a seminar, aimed at researchers and health professionals, on the application of atmospheric plasma as a therapy against cancer.

Yesterday, the Biomedical Research Center of La Rioja (CIBIR) organized a seminar, aimed at researchers and health professionals, on the application of atmospheric plasma as a therapy against cancer, on January, 23rd 2019. 

Dr. Cristina Canal presented the results of her research related to the treatment of osteosarcoma, as Invited Speaker of the Seminar. ERC APACHE leader showed her latest research, proving that atmospheric plasma has lethal effects on cancer cells without affecting healthy tissues, constituting in this way a possible alternative therapy to chemotherapy in this type of bone cancer.
