Kick off meeting of the H2020 project MaxiBone

The H2020-MAXIBONE "Personalised maxillofacial bone regeneration" project Kickoff Meeting was held on 20-21 February 2018 in Nantes, France, by the coordinator, Prof. Pierre Layrolle (INSERM).

Prof. Maria-Pau Ginebra, Director of the BBT, attended the Kickoff Meeting as IP for the UPC, Third Party of Mimetis Biomaterials, which was represented by IP Yassine Maazouz.

The objective of the project is to perform a multi centre clinical trial on 150 patients for bone augmentation in maxillofacial surgery, prior to dental implants, with autologous bone marrow expanded mesenchymal stem cells and biomaterials versus autologous bone grafting. Personalized 3D printed calcium phosphate biomaterials are also developed. 

The project includes partners from Norway, Spain, Germany, France, Denmark and Switzerland.
