Dr. Claudia García-Mintegui, AGAUR's FI PhD fellow, presents her doctoral thesis at EEBE.

On January 26th, Claudia García-Mintegui, PhD student of the Biomaterials, Biomechanics and Tissue Engineering Research Group (BBT) and the Resource Recovery and Environmental Management Research Group (R2EM), defended her doctoral thesis  at EEBE.

Dr. García-Mintegui presented his thesis on "Bioresorbable Zn-based alloys for biomedical applications", co-directed by Dr. Marta Pegueroles (BBT) and Dr. José Luis Cortina (R2EM).

The panel was formed by Dr. Javier Fernández, President (UB), Dr. José A. Calero, Secretary (AMES) and Dr. Asli Günay Bulutsuz (Yildiz Technical University, Turkey).

During the completion of her doctoral thesis, Dr. García-Mintegui completed a 3-month research stay (September-December 2021) at the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Politecnico di Milano (Milano, Italy). During this time, she was able to carry out a project on the "Processing of biodegradable Zn alloys using two different techniques: severe plastic deformation by ECAP or 3D printing with binder jetting".
