Albert Barba presents his PhD Thesis

Dr. Albert Barba, member of BBT, presented her doctoral thesis within the Biomaterials Doctorate Programme, at EEBE.

Albert Barba,  PhD student at the Biomaterials, Biomechanics and Thissue Engineering Research Group at UPC, presented his Doctoral Thesis on November 28th, at the new Diagonal-Besòs Campus of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC).

The student presented his thesis in "Intrinsic osteoinduction and osteogenesis of biomimetic calcium phosphate scaffolds with different nano-, micro- and macroporosities: ectopic and orthotopic implantation in a canine model", directed by Dr. Maria-Pau Ginebra (BBT) and Dr. Jordi Franch (UAB), before a jury constituted by Dr. Cristina Canal (UPC), Dr. Jeróme Noailly (UPF) and Dr. Marco López (Univ. Lille Nord, France).

Dr. Barba, granted with a FI research grant by Generalitat de Catalunya, enjoyed two research stays at the Department of Science and Engineering, Applied Materials Science in Uppsala Universitet (Sweden).
