Agencia Estatal de Investigación funds two research projects

Agencia Estatal de Investigación has granted funding to carry out two projects in our research group. They are the PolyCoarct project: Polymeric adaptable stents to treat pediatric aortic coarctation, with Dr. Marta Pegueroles as PI; and the TaperMesh project: Development of tailored 3D printed permanent and resorbable metallic scaffolds with biofunctionalized hydrogel for bone regeneration, with Drs. José M. Manero and Daniel Rodríguez-Rius as PIs.

September 1 was the starting date for the two research projects carried out at BBT, funded by Agencia Estatal de Investigación (AEI) and co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) .

On the one hand, Dr. José M. Manero and Daniel Rodríguez-Rius have succeeded in being able to carry out their TaperMesh project, which aims at the "Development of tailored 3D printed permanent and resorbable metallic scaffolds with biofunctionalized hydrogel for bone regeneration".

On the other hand, Dr. Marta Pegueroles, in collaboration with Dr. Jordi Martorell from the Chemical Institute of Sarrià (IQSURLl) and Dr. Mercedes Balsells  of IQS and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), will develop her PolyCoarct project, which focuses on the development of "Polymeric adaptable stents to treat pediatric aortic coarctation".
