Dr. Miquel Punset

Short Bio

Miquel Punset Fuste (Barcelona, 1976) is Graduated Mechanical Engineer (UPC), Bachelor in Materials Engineer (UPC), PhD in Science and Materials Engineering (UPC) and he has a post-graduate degree in Project Management Advanced (UPC).

He started his research career in 2004 in the Light Alloys and Surface Treatments Design Centre (CDAL) of the Department of Material Science and Metallurgical Engineering (CMEM) of the UPC in (EPSEVG) campus. In 2012 he joined the Biomaterials Biomechanics and Tissue Engineering Group (BBT) of the UPC in (EEBE) campus. He is currently the Director of BBT’s companies Division (Consolidated Research Group of the Generalitat of Catalunya) as well as Associated Professor of the Department of Material Science and Metallurgical Engineering (CMEM) of the UPC in (EEBE) campus.

He is co-author in many JCR papers in scientific indexed journals and co-author of various papers presented in national and international conferences. He has been actively involved in the drafting and execution of several R+D projects with public and private funding, being the inventor of 1 patent (PCT/ES2015/070603).
