Dr. Nabila Mehwish

Short Bio

Nabila Mehwish, a citizen of Pakistan, has a PhD from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China. She has a solid academic foundation thanks to her two additional years of postdoctoral research work at the University of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.

Mehwish's publications in prestigious journals like Acta Biomaterials, Account of Chemical Research, Materials Horizon, and Biomaterials Science, among others, demonstrate her contributions to the scientific world. Mehwish's accomplishments include holding the title of first author for 15 of her 20 articles listed by SCl and earning an h-index of 10.

Her research focuses mainly on the design and development of biomaterials, hydrogels, microcarriers for cell growth, and bioprinting systems. She has been awarded a postdoc at UPC and will be working on the bioactive and multifunctional peptide hydrogels obtained by self-assembling for advanced biomedical applications (SmartGel).
